The clinic was slow again this morning. We ran out of several types of medicine and we were down to only soap for health aids. Shampoo was the popular item. When someone came up to me to say they didn’t get a bag, it was always shampoo they asked for. In English. The second most popular item was toothbrushes, probably because we didn’t have any. They didn’t know the English word and I didn’t know the Spanish word so they asked by pantomiming brushing their teeth and I had to say “No Tenieimos”, “We don’t have any.”

The trip was moved this year so it would be cooler, but apparently it was unusually hot for the season while we were there. My three best friends at the clinic were my bottle of water I filled up every morning and noon, my straw hat and my other bottle of water I filled up every morning and noon.
